On July 19th Chairman Richard Christie made a presentation on behalf of the members to Ann MacPherson, who retired as the Landlady of the Lyne Tavern. Ann has been in charge of the pub for five years and it has been the regular Thursday evening meeting place for the Club since January 2004. As a thank you for the friendly and generous welcome that the members have received and to remind her of the Club, Ann was presented with two books: Scotland: The Wild Places, by Colin Prior, which was signed by many of the members; and a guide book to the Ochils. |
