The Cioch Rock group previously known as “Roadkill” have advised that they now wish to be known as “Rusty Guns”.  They raised an impressive £250 from their recent charity gig.

The auction sale of club equipment in June raised an equally impressive £160.  The Cioch added to these amounts and donated £200 each to the Ochils, Glencoe and Cairngorm Mountain Rescue teams..

On July 19th Chairman Richard Christie made a presentation on behalf of the members to Ann MacPherson, who  retired as the Landlady of the Lyne Tavern.  Ann has been in charge of the pub for five years and it has been the regular Thursday evening meeting place for the Club since January 2004.  As a thank you for the friendly and generous welcome that the members have received and to remind her of the Club, Ann was presented with two books:  Scotland: The Wild Places, by Colin Prior, which was signed by many of the members; and a guide book to the Ochils.

Dennis presents a cheque for £200 to the Ochils Mountain Rescue Team on behalf of the Cioch.  Cheques for £200 each were also sent to the Glencoe and Cairngorm Mountain Rescue teams.

20th ANNIVERSARY MEET at INCHNADAMPH—The Committee are currently looking at ways that we can make this a Meet to remember.  If you have any ideas, speak to any Committee Member.
